Last days in Bar Harbor

We move tuesday from Bar Harbor to Gettysburg RV Farms at Dove, Pa about a 720 mile trip.

Our stay at Moody Beach in Well's Maine got us a lot of Memories we are leaving here on Tuesday heading to Bar Harbor , Maine for 2 weeks. To  make more Memories.

Hermine Tropical Storm

Moody Beach, Wells Maine has left us with some jaw dropping scene's from the giant waves that Tropical storm Hermine has left behind. Waves and swells 25 foot high pounded the beaches.

Wells, Maine at Moody Beach

We are at Wells, Maine went and seen the 1,700 pound Lenny the chocolate Moose, then onto see the Atlantic Ocean at Fort Williams, and have a picnic lunch with friends Dale & Betty Mereness.

We moved from Niagara Falls, to Lake George Encore TT RV Park. We are in Site 231 full hook up, Cable and satellite friendly.
Nice park, big 700 sites here. took a drive up to Prospect Mountain, they say you can 100 miles nice view of Lake George.

Went to Niagara Falls today to Goat Island to see the Falls, WOW spent about a half of day there, then took a drive along Niagara River on Robert Moses Parkway up to see Lake Ontario.

Been really Hot here, been doing some flying of my little Super Cub , here at the campground. Went to the Jefferson fair yesterday and cooked in the sun.

Took a drive along Lake Erie today with friends Len & Gloria  and stopping at Eddies Grill for lunch, was a great day.

Last of the covered bridges

We finished the covered bridge tour yesterday, spent the afternoon visiting with our friends, and getting a demo from a fellow RVer on cleaning products for the RV. We now have the right products to keep our RV lookin great.

  

Our Friends Len & Gloria made it in today

Friends Len & Gloria made into Kenisee Lake TT today, Jefferson, Ohio. What a nice reunion it was we had not seen them for over a year. We spent the afternoon visiting and Len showing me things about the motor-home, his knowledge  is going to be very helpful.
Phyllis had them over for supper.

Covered Bridges in Jefferson, Ohio

Bridges dating back to the 1800's, reading their history is really something. You get a tour map and your GPS and it is still a challenge ti find them.

Kenisee Lake TT

Not much to report today rolled into Kenisee Lake, Jefferson, Ohio about 2:30pm got a nice site with 50amp hookup W/S/E. 

RV Hall Of Fame

Today we went to Elkhart, Indiana to the famous RV Hall of Fame, this is something to see. Rigs dating back to the 30's through today's rigs. Very nicely put together glad we went. about a 2 hour tour. We are leaving tomorrow for Kennisee Lake RV campground at Jefferson, Ohio. We will be there for 2 weeks. Lots to do in that area.  

Amish-Mennonite Story

We spent the day touring the Amish-Mennonite of Shipshewana, Indiana. Went to the  Amish-Mennoniten Story you can see it on www.mennohhof.org to learn more about these people still live the life of 150 years ago. We did have the opportunity to stop at a Amish farm and talk with a lady who was just getting ready to leave with her little kids in a little trailer behind her bike. No electricity, no air, no running water, no fans. she said we still have our problems, was very interesting visiting with her. We then visited some stores where Amish make furniture, wow they are wood workers. 

Traveling Day

Traveling day from Pine County Rv TT  , Belivdere , Ill to Twin Mills RV TT at Howe, Ind. Alot of road construction and traffic jams. took us about 8.5 hours to travel 270 miles. Got here about 2:30 PM. Excited to go site seeing tomorrow. Hopefully we can start getting pic's to put on here.

Very nice campground nice staff, well kept. will stay again some day.

Well we were wondering what we would do today, with temp's still in the low 90"s yet. So Phyllis is trying out the wash machine, I'm polishing on the coach, when she comes out and tells me she heard a load pop in the coach and the TV went out. After some tests we decided that the TV took a S_ _ _t. Down to Wal-Mart and come back with a new 43 inch TV, took us all afternoon to take out the old one and install the new one. A bit of a challenge but we got done with out cussing or breaking anything. All Packed up outside ready to move tomorrow to Howe , Indiana .

Not much to report today still hot upper 80's. Phyllis is trying out the wash machine for the first time, working good. Will load the car back on the tow dolly, and get some others things done outside, so we are ready to move to Howe, Indiana tomorrow going to take 39 south to 80 east to avoid all the tolls and heavy traffic in chicago.

To hot to do anything outside 92  and high humidity so staying in the RV with the AC just humming away. Went to Wal-mart just down the road picked up a couple of items.

Our First day on the road, Made it to TT Pines Country Campground ,Belvidere, Ill. Change our days to stay only 4 days will leave next Wednesday for Howe, Ind to stay at TT Twin mills. Will stay there for 3 days. Our first day set up went like a fish out of water. lol
